Keith states that he is "50 years young". He has 5 children and two grandchildren.
He started racing karts at age 7and motocross at age 12. He won several regional motocross championships in Texas, and regional championships in karting. Keith also raced in the Pro-Quad Series with several top tens and raced Cross Country Expert in Open class with several top 5 finishes.
In the 1999 125cc Shifter Kart National Championship, won the pole award and fast lap of the race. He finsihed 3rd in the 250CC Unlimited Super Kart Championship at Laguna Seca.
More recently, Kieth has been a competitor and team owner in the Camaro Mustang Challenge and the American Stock Car Challenge Series with top 5 finishes in both (his average CMC finish is 3rd). He also competed in Factory 5 Challenge Series.
In 2006 Kieth competed in the 25-Hours of thunderhill in his own Ford Mustang before joining the Racing 4 A Reason team in '07, fielding his own car while driving the Veloce in the 25-hour race.Â
