Steve Lisa

Steve Lisa is a professional endurance sports car and desert racer, an amateur sailboat racer, and a former bicycle racer.  He is also a well respected patent litigation attorney and a family man, married to Laurie since 1981 and father to Tony, Michelle and Caitlin.

Steve began his racing cars in 1989, after graduating from engineering, law school, starting his family, and patent career.  Racing with SCCA in 1990, his first year, winning the regional championship with a GP Triumph Spitfire.  Moving up to the national level, Steve won numerous Divisional championships. In 1997, Steve was awarded the Arizona Region's "Racer of the Year"

In 2001, he finished 3rd at the SCCA National Championships in the GT4 class.  In 1996, Steve turned "Professional" and brought Mazda sportscars back to the SCCA "World Challenge Series".  Teaming up with racer, Dave Rosenblum, to form the ICY/SL Racing Team.  Steve garnered numerous top ten finishes in the World Challenge series between 1996 and 2000.

In 2000, the ICY/SL Team moved up to the top endurance racing ranks in America, campaigning a tube frame Corvette, in the Grand Am Rolex AGT and GT classes.Steve tallied 14 top 10 finishes including a win at Virginia, a 2nd at Watkins Glen, and 3rd at Phoenix.

In 2002, Steve occasionally drove in the Grand Am Cup Series, scoring 7 top 10 finishes.

In 2004, he took a break from motor sports and turned his energies to assemble a cycling team and racing bicycles in the amateur ranks.  His "Ride Clean p/b Patent It!" cycling team won scores of races and championships, then established as one of the highest ranking amateur teams in the United States.  His team turned professional in 2011, also fielding a women's team, lead by road and criterium racer, Erica Allar.  the team won the National Criterium Championship, two years in a row.

2010, Steve returned to endurance auto racing.  This time, teaming up with his son Anthony the SCORE and BITD professional off road series.  Steve and Anthony finished 3rd in the SCORE Lites Championship and accomplishing the rare feat of finishing every mile raced in Mexico!  He also had a 3rd place finish in the Baja 1000 and San Felipe Challenge of Champions.

Steve, over the years,  achieved 1 win, 6 podium finishes in the professional ranks and 50 amateur wins, plus one class win in the PDG GTM.  He has set "fast lap" records at numerous tracks, including setting fast lap in the 2006 European GT Championship race at Monza, Italy.  Steve has earned the reputation as a consistent "journeyman" professional endurance racer.
