December 5-6, 2015
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT GROUP HISTORY
This project is the result of our dear friend, Dan Lawson, who passed away during a race at Buttonwillow Raceway. Before he passed he had been communicating with Factory Five Racing, a company that builds component cars. A local network of Factory Five customers and friends began the development of this kit car tha was deemed, by Dave Smith owner of FFR, "This car is not intended to be a full on competition race car." 8 month of hard work, innovation, and imagination, the car was ready for its first race. 25 Hour Of Thunderhill. Finishing 59th overall and 13th in the ES class, the team took the checkered flag. The car is specifically built for endurance racing. The team has fielded the GTM for 8 years now and over 26 drivers, both amateur and professional. Logging over 70 podium finishes, 32 wins, 3 WERC Championships, 1 Super Unlimited Championship. A 78% completion ranking in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The passion of this all volunteer team has evolved into a threat where ever the car participates.
